I’m 63, female, genetically diagnosed 5 years ago after death of older brother, 1 of 2, and mother, MYH7 gene. I’m not obese and am 7 pounds under WW upper range for my height but carry fat in abdomen. Also have familial hyperlipedemia (take Repatha). Interested. Am I a viable candidate? Haven’t asked my cardiologist yet.
Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your brother and mother.
Given your cardiac history, genetic findings, and lipid/metabolic background, this is not something I’d want to comment on casually or in a public forum. The best next step would be to reach out directly to the clinic so we can approach your questions privately and in a more personalized, medically appropriate way.
We approach these situations thoughtfully and in coordination with a patient’s broader medical context, including cardiology involvement when appropriate.
You can contact the clinic directly through CEDclinic.com if you’d like to explore whether a structured consultation would make sense.
